John Obi Mikel’s podcast this week was able to stay on a positive tip for once after a good result for the Blues.
They beat Bournemouth comfortably, ending a run without a win and allowing everyone to get optimistic about Xabi Alonso once again.
Mikel was full of praise for the new Blues coach, who has his team scoring for fun at the moment.
Chelsea need to go game by game – starting on Saturday

“I think Xabi Alonso is building something special, we have to all support him, when you look on the touchline and see the calibre of manager we have, a manager that’s won titles as a player and manager, I think that brings confidence in the squad. The players will listen to Xabi Alonso and look up to him.
“Consistency will be key this season. Let’s beat Everton, at least win 2/3 from Everton, Spurs and Man United.”
We agree. And we’re not even thinking about Spurs or Man U yet. That Everton side are unbeaten, but not unbeatable. If we can take them down in the early kick off on Saturday, that sets us up so nicely for the weekend and the weeks ahead.
