Juventus travel to Lecce on Sunday for their next Serie A fixture, with Luciano Spalletti’s side looking to recover from a difficult spell and get their campaign back on track. The Bianconeri currently sit tenth in the standings and have struggled to build steady momentum in the league.
Juventus arrive after a poor stretch of results, including a damaging 3-0 home loss to Lazio and a demanding 2-2 Europa League draw with Rennes in midweek. They have recorded only one win across their previous five matches, making it vital that they begin turning their control of games into tangible outcomes.
Juventus team news
Spalletti faces a severe selection issue, with nine first-team players unavailable for the trip to Lecce. Fresh setbacks from the midweek European fixture have forced him to rethink his approach.
Zeki Çelik and Nico González both picked up serious muscle injuries during the Rennes match and have been left out of the travelling group.
Kenan Yıldız is still working his way back from a foot problem. Captain Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram are both out with knee injuries.
Francisco Conceição, backup goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, forward Jeff Ekhator and long-term absentee Arkadiusz Milik are also unavailable.
Because of the number of absentees, Spalletti is likely to move away from his usual system and use a revised 3-4-2-1 setup. The approach should depend on wing-backs to provide attacking width, while Nick Woltemade and Randal Kolo Muani are expected to lead the line together.
Juventus predicted lineup
Possible Juventus starting XI: Vicario; Kalulu, Bremer, Lucumi; McKennie, Luiz, Sarr, Cambiaso; Alajbegovic; Kolo Muani, Woltemade
When will the match kick off?
The match will kick off at 6pm BST on Sunday, 25th October.
